Who we support
We are committed to contributing to organisations that make a difference to people and the world.“SilverScreen Glass Whiteboards capture ideas that change the world, most of which we will never know…..”
We honour David Wolf – 23 years old who passed at the hand of brain cancer, in donations to the following important organisations:
The Wolfy Foundation
Brain cancer mortality rates and survival rates have hardly changed for 30 years, despite significant increases in survival for Australians diagnosed with other types of cancer, such as leukemia and breast cancer. Brain cancer costs more per patient than any other cancer, yet only receives a small fraction of cancer research funding.
The Wolfy Foundation has been formed in memory of David Wolf who, at aged 23 lost his battle with brain cancer. The Foundation’s objectives are to raise funds and to raise awareness about brain cancer.
Cure Brain Cancer
Cure Brain Cancer was founded as Cure For Life Foundation by world-renowned neurosurgeon A/Prof Charlie Teo, with the Crane as its symbol – find out more about the Crane here. Today the team has grown to 18 and Cure Brain Cancer has extended its reach across Australia and connected with partners around the world.
Pink Ribbon Breakfast
Pink Ribbon Breakfast is an annual, nationwide fundraising initiative of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Individuals can register to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation by hosting an event—be it breakfast, morning tea or some other type of get-together or party!
Events are typically held in October, international breast cancer awareness month. People have been hosting Pink Ribbon Breakfast’s for NBCF for over a decade and during that time raised over $20m for breast cancer research.
This year fun is the aim of the game and we are encouraging all our hosts to let their hair down and Party for a Cure! It is all about having a good time with friends, family and/or colleagues and partying your own way while also raising funds to fund vital breast cancer research.
